To help you reach your goal, Walden University's College of Education offers state-approved* teacher preparation programs with an option to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree. Designed for the working adult professional, these flexible, online programs offer a practical gateway to teaching, while you continue to work full time.
The Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Preparation Program with an MAT option is designed to prepare candidates to become P-12 classroom teachers with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of exemplary educators who work in diverse settings. The College of Education is committed to candidates who seek to become skilled classroom teachers who provide developmentally appropriate, student-centered learning experiences that build their students' knowledge and skills.
