Tuesday, June 17, 2008

This residency has already passed.

Information regarding guest registration will be sent to registered student participants in March 2008.

Location and Venue
The year 2008 marks an important milestone for the city of Liverpool: the city has been named the European Capital of Culture.  Liverpool is UK's founding charter, and over the course of 800 years Liverpool has grown from a small fishing village to a city with international trading connections. The University of Liverpool and Walden University invite you to participate in an International Academic Residency for Walden University’s doctoral students June 10-17, 2008, which will explore the city’s historic past and provide an insight into the forces shaping contemporary Liverpool.

The University of Liverpool and Walden University have worked to create a unique residency agenda for the program consisting of both traditional residency work (Milestone Seminars, skill sessions, and individual academic advising) and cultural excursions throughout Liverpool (previous activities include tours of Albert Dock, Merseyside Maritime Museum, Walker Art Gallery, World Museum, St. George’s Hall, Cavern Club, and Beatles Museum).

If you are planning on bringing guests under the age of 18 to this residency, we require that you bring a second adult guest to accompany anyone under the age of 18.

Information regarding guest registration will be provided in the Residency Confirmation Email.  If you have any questions regarding the guest registration process, please contact Residencies@waldenu.edu.
