Editing and Statistical Services Although many students have had excellent relationships with independently hired editors, Walden University does not guarantee the quality or availability of the editors listed on this site. Here are some things to know.
Naturally, you'll want to do as much work yourself as you can, since editors usually charge an hourly rather than per page rate. You might also want to call a community college English Department or the bulletin boards at a university.
Walden students are also encouraged to email the Walden tutors at writingsupport@waldenu.edu with specific questions or with drafts of papers. We'll be glad to answer questions or to look at a few pages of your manuscript and give you feedback.

The Association for Support of Graduate Students (ASGS) lists many California-based freelance editors, statisticians, and some editors from other parts of the country. The Freelance Online Directory is a yellow pages of sorts with links to many editors with various specialties. You can also do a Web search for "Dissertation Editing Services." You'll find links to many editors and editing companies around the country. Some provide information about cost and the type of work they do.
