2006 Walden University Conference on Social Change
October 20 – 21, 2006
Baltimore, Maryland
CALL FOR PAPERS AND PROPOSALS
Walden University seeks proposals from researchers, scholars and practitioners for competitive papers, interactive workshops, multimedia presentations, panels and artistic performances for the 2006 Conference on Social Change, “Uncommon Vision and the Common Good.” The conference will take place in Baltimore, Md., on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20 and 21, 2006.
Submissions are welcome in the fields of psychology, management, public policy, education, engineering, and health services or in community work focused on social change. This year we particularly invite proposals that focus on the following social change issues:
-
The tension between the common good and individual rights and freedom
-
Evolution or revolution in organizations and systems, and how these forces create positive social change in the 21st century
-
The dynamics of change that originate from within a system, and change that comes from outside a system
-
The role of individuals with uncommon vision who have made a significant contribution to positive social change
Conference sessions are scheduled for approximately 1.5 hours. Individuals selected to present will receive a complimentary registration for the conference.
