Sample Theses and Dissertations

To access Walden theses or dissertations, go to the library Web site at http://www.lib.waldenu.edu and click on Go to Databases. Enter your password, Then, in the far-right column, click on Walden Dissertations. If you want to search for only Walden work, make sure only the box that says Dissertations & Theses @ Walden University is selected. You can read just the abstracts or the entire documents, but do know the entire works take a bit to download.

Three sample theses listed here are from the Master of Science in Psychology program. Those chosen represent a cross-section of theses that are accepted in the program.

We are grateful to the authors for permission to offer these as examples of accepted theses. You may download them for personal use, but none may be transmitted for any other reason without the permission of the author.

Remember that these examples are meant to illustrate accepted theses. As a critical reader, you may find that in addition to the obvious strengths of each, minor imperfections of format, style, content, and method dot the landscape. In addition, remember that there is no thesis template: A good thesis is one that meets the specific needs of the specific research problem for the specific intended readers (starting with your committee members).
